When heaven breaks through.

A miracle is God reaching into the natural world and doing something that the natural world cannot do on its own.

The Catholic Church does not declare miracles lightly. Every reported miracle undergoes rigorous investigation, including medical examination by independent physicians, theological review, and careful verification that no natural explanation exists. The Church does not ask us to believe in any particular miracle, but it does affirm that God is still at work, that the age of miracles did not end with the Apostles, and that the intercession of the saints and the Blessed Virgin Mary continues to produce fruits that science alone cannot account for.

What you will find here are the stories of those fruits. The healings that medicine could not explain. The images that science could not reproduce. The moments when a Mother's prayer was answered in a way that left no room for doubt.

1

Jesus

The miracles of the Son of God, from apparitions to the Eucharistic miracles that continue to this day. He is the source of every miracle in this collection, and the Eucharistic miracles are His way of reminding a doubting world that He meant what He said: "This is my body."

2

Mary

The miracles associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary, from the tilma of Guadalupe to the spring at Lourdes, from the weeping statues of Akita to the healings that continue to this day at shrines across the world.

3

Joseph

The miracles associated with St. Joseph, the quiet father, the protector of the Holy Family, the patron of the universal Church, whose intercession has produced wonders that the world is only now beginning to discover.

See the healings, the signs, and the moments that left the world with no explanation except God.
