After a beautiful confession, we walked past St. James Church and looked up. What we saw was a miracle of the sun, its shape morphing before our eyes.

As we prayed, the sun grew to twice its size and gave off a gentle warmth that dried our clothes after a dewy morning. In that moment we understood the words, "The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1).

While they were praying outside the church the sun began to change shape in a matter of seconds. It went from round, to oval, to what looks like the outline of Our Lady of Medjugorje, and then Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
